Keeping it..
I was really considering deleting this account since I don't use it anymore. I went back and reread everything and realized there's information about some of Aliyas milestones as an infant and what all we went through that I cant delete it. My life has completely changed and hopefully I can actually keep up on this..this time. :( Its something I want to do but I'm horrible at it!!

So I just realized I haven't posted anything since April! I thought I just did a month ago but I feel like this is still June! Things have been super hectic around here. Both of my cats, Laredo & Oreo, are now gone. :( I'm so sad about it! Laredo just disappeared & then a week later Oreo got attacked by a cougar in our yard! It was very heartbreaking & we were moving in 2 days! I'm very happy we got out of that place but we ended up getting stuck in a 1 bedroom upstairs apartment. It's such a hassle just to take the dog potty. I have to carry Aliya, whose not light, up & down all these stairs & then the dog wants to take forever! Oh yeah, we got a dog! Adopted her from the pound. Not sure what breed she is but she's very cute... Anyways, this apartment isn't working so we found another rental but it's in Randle. Super sad. I do not want to live in Randle but I'm glad my family lives there! It's a temporary move & the next move should be into the house we buy.
Aliya is now 9 months old & has 6 teeth! 2 more are working their way through but she's still been super happy! I love how happy she is all the time. Always smiling & loves giving hugs & kisses! I won't be back on until I get internet at my next place sometime around August 1 but I hope everyone enjoys their summer. : )

Pics Finally!
***Update on Ellen's pregnancy. She went to the doctor & he's 80% sure it's a Girl! I'm very happy & I know she is going to have so much fun with her daughter!
Here's a few more picture of Aliya! She turned 6 months last week & has her 2 bottom teeth coming in. I can't believe she's growing so fast. She's been working on crawling & has mastered rolling so she rolls all over the house! The easy months are over. : )

*Update- Cry It Out*
I posted awhile back about the cry it out method...I was going to try it with Aliya in hopes of getting her to sleep through the entire night. I decided that it's too much uneccessary torture. I hate when Aliya crys & to put her through it every night for at least an hour is too hard on me & her as well. She has no idea what's going on & I feel so bad. I know the cry it out method has worked for many families & if you choose to do it then more power to you but I just don't think it's the best option for my family. Tonight she was crying for maybe half an hour total & I had checked on her & comforted her at least three times. She started crying so hard that she could barely breathe & I picked her up & got her to sleep while I was holding her. She was so upset she continued sobbing her sleep. It was the most heart breaking thing ever! I believe in letting your child cry once in awhile & I think it's healthy for them but tonight was just too much. I felt like the worst Mom ever especially when she looked at me like why are you doing this to me? So horrible! She sleeps in her crib a lot & some days she falls asleep on her own & others I have to comfort her & help her get to sleep. At night is the hardest. Most of the times she falls asleep in my arms & I go & lay her down. I think that we'll just continue to do it her way & hope she grows out of it. I don't want her to have sleep problems the rest of her life or cry as soon as I lay her in her crib because she knows I'm going to leave her to cry. I'm sure if I stayed consistant with it every single night & at every nap time that it would work but I just can't do it. I don't want to feel like a bad Mom & she's such a great baby. If our only troubles are with sleeping at night then that's ok with me!

Aliya
I'm posting like crazy today but I need to make up for the next few weeks that I probably won't post. I'm pretty bad at this whole thing. Anyways, Aliya is 5 months & doing so much stuff now. She can sit up, hold her bottle (needs more practie though), roll over to both sides, sucks her toes lol. She even stand up holding on to the coffee table! Of course I'm right behind her to catch her when she loses her balance. She hasn't learned that if she leans one way she has to move her feet or she'll fall. She's doing so awesome & I can't believe she's growing so fast. I just love her so much. She's so funny & makes me laugh all the time. Even when I'm sleep deprived. Here's some new pics...enjoy!!
Cry It Out
Aliya is 5 months old & there is no reason she should not be sleeping through the night. We started a bedtime routine when she was 2 months old, she's knows when her bedtime is but always wakes up every night. She's on solids & formula so I know she's not waking up because she's hungry. It's been a little frustrating because I'm up half the night & then she's up for the day at 630am! So tonight I started the Cry It Out method. Basically I finish the bedtime routine & lay her down awake. She starts crying & I go in & soothe her & talk softly to try to calm her down but I don't pick her up. I go in at 3, 5, 10 minute intervals etc... & I leave the room & repeat the process until she falls asleep on her own. When she wakes up I do the exact same thing & the next night I start out at longer intervals & just continue it until she is sleeping happily through the night. I really hope it works. These next few days I probably will get a lot less sleep but I know it will help her in the long run! Wish me luck!

Letters...
I posted awhile back about the letter for Aliya's room. I decided I didn't like them so now I'm re-doing them. They were a mauve color with green polka dots & green ribbon on them. They matched her color scheme perfect in her nursery but for some reason I just hated looking at them. lol. So I'm doing the project again. My BFF Ellen did her son's letters a super easy way so I'm going to copy her. You just trace the letter onto the back of paper (any color or print you want), then cut them out and glue it to the front on the letter. So easy! I'm doing a black & white damask print paper which will go with her bumper fabric & valance perfectly. I think they'll look awesome but I'm worried I have to much black & white in her room & I'm trying to figure out a way to add some more color. I'm not completely done with them. Obviously tha last A is missing but you get the point. :) I might add some ribbon or rhinestones on them too but I haven't decided yet.
By the way... Ellen is pregnant with baby # 2!!! She's been trying for awhile & it finally happened. I'm so excited for her & her family & I'm hoping it's a girl. :)
